Well, I've got a mail this morning which I deleted because I assumed it
would be recorded in BTS but it is not. :-( 

I think it was from Jonathan who did informed me that I missinterpreted
the hint given by upstream and just removed the wrong branch of the
conditional.  In any case he also said that we need to wait until the
new libconfig has moved from experimental to unstable.  So either you
can try an upload to experimental or just wait.

For sure you can obtain the current status of packaging in the Debian
Med git repository.
