The Debian Policy Manual says that:

"Changes in the Debian version of the package should be briefly 
explained in the Debian changelog file |debian/changelog|"

Putting the whole conversation in the changelog file seems like overkill 
to me.

Could you please be so kind and clarify why it is important to have it 
like that.
