Hi Nicolas,

the culprit is a missing line in debian/gwyddion-common.install:

--- debian/gwyddion-common.install	(Revision 10971)
+++ debian/gwyddion-common.install	(Arbeitskopie)
@@ -3,3 +3,4 @@
 usr/share/icons/
 usr/share/gwyddion/
 usr/share/mime/packages/
+usr/share/thumbnailers/

With this line, the thumbnailer installs and works fine.

Sorry for forgetting about this. In a minute, I will upload gwyddion 2.28-2
to Debian unstable.
