[Debian-med-packaging] GAPS library

Dear Thomas!

I am Laszlo Kajan, a bioinformatician from Burkhard Rost's Bioinformatics Lab in Munich, Germany.
I am also a Debian Maintainer.
I would like to package concavity [0] for Debian, and use it for my research.

According to Debian policy [1], libraries should be made available as shared libraries. I see that your GAPS library - used in concavity - was
indeed reused a couple of times (google: "gaps" library thomas funkhouser). Therefore let me ask you:

* Is there a release of the GAPS library on its own? - I found it bundled together with concavity. I also found it at [2]. Do you do public
releases of this library?

If such release were available, I would like to package that, and link concavity dynamically, rather than statically with the library bundled
with it.

Thank you very much for the information and the help.

Best regards,

Laszlo
