Currently processing of new queue is quite slow (about one month).  So
it might not harm to upload now let it progress to unstable and push a
new version later.  On the other hand:  If the build system has not
changed drastically just bumping the version in the changelog an use the
latest version seems to be the necessary work to do (if upstream will
not have changed too much).  Uploading this to new seems to be an
alternative option to me.
