I do not really get it?  What files are mentioning GPL-2 only?  I can
only see

$ grep -i license *.py
fitbitscraper.py:# For redistribution and use terms, see the LICENSE file.

Besides that I do not know what Thorsten means I think your change is
somehow incomplete:

     This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify
     it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
-    the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or
-    (at your option) any later version.
+    the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License.
     .
     This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful,


To me   "; *either* version 2 of the License." makes no sense.
