That sounds like a good idea in general. It won't solve the clang issue,
though.

Sorry I can't be of any help there. I have no clue about ruby packaging.
For the record: The patch has been merged into upstream git
(https://github.com/gmarcais/Jellyfish/pull/21) and will therefore be
part of the next Release v2.1.5 - which could take a while to be published.
