[please CC me I'm not a member of pkg-java-maintainers]
Hi,
since this package has two reverse dependencies in Debian Med (figtree,
biojava3-live) I had a look into this. I tried the latest version
(5.5.3) and realised, that the problem exists also there plus another
one.
Results :
Tests in error:
testExtraXObjects(com.itextpdf.text.pdf.PdfCopyTest): Can't connect to X11 window server using 'localhost:11.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.
remoteGifTest(com.itextpdf.text.RemoteGifImageTest): itextpdf.com
Tests run: 246, Failures: 0, Errors: 2, Skipped: 4
I think in principle it should be quite easy to simply exclude these
tests from the test suite. Please keep in touch if any help might
be needed and whether you consider upgrading to the latest version.
Remark: I'd recommend using a Git repository layout including
pristine-tar since the tarball will not be downloaded but created from
SVN and thus it matters regarding md5sum what tarball is used. Keeping
it as pristine tar would bring all maintainers on the same base.
Kind regards
Andreas.
