Hi Charles and Dominique,
I have not put myself to Uploaders since I'm just uploader of to many
packages and thus I did a team upload.
Please be so kind and submit this patch
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/debian-med/samtools.git/tree/debian/patches/mayhem.patch
to upstream or create a pull request. I consider the issue honest since
when I executed the script provided in bug #716197 I was entering an
endless loop. :-(
I'm not sure whether this is the most elegant way to fix the issue since
I'm not that comfortable with reading gz streams but this definitely
helps to stop trying to read the stream infinitely.
Kind regards
Andreas.
