There is no need to write a preinstall script.  Please review

and commit changes you might consider helpful right to SVN.  BTW,
anybody else at some point in time has written the first preinstall
script ...

It would have been a good idea to document this at some point in
time.

I somehow assumed that I would have told you when we met at a
MiniDebConf.  Just for the record:  I have zero education in medical
imaging, have never dealt with any DICOM file.  I do not have any good
reason to deal with medical imaging packages except that I feel
responsible for the whole Debian Med scope and try to fix urgent issues
with my Debian packaging competence.  I think I have made clear in the
past that your quitting from the team has created a gap regarding
competence in medical imaging and I'm seriously concerned that we do not
manage the workload properly if you fully stop your commitment here.
