Hi,

when trying to build the latest version of phyml[1] in pbuilder as usual
I get a very strange error which is possibly best summarised by grepping
for gcc:

$ grep gcc phyml_3.2.20160530+dfsg-1_amd64.build | grep -v Depends | tail -n 8
Preparing to unpack .../3-gcc-6-base_6.1.1-12_amd64.deb ...
Unpacking gcc-6-base:amd64 (6.1.1-12) over (6.1.1-11) ...
Setting up gcc-6-base:amd64 (6.1.1-12) ...
Preparing to unpack .../libgcc1_1%3a6.1.1-12_amd64.deb ...
Unpacking libgcc1:amd64 (1:6.1.1-12) over (1:6.1.1-11) ...
Setting up libgcc1:amd64 (1:6.1.1-12) ...
Can't exec "gcc": No such file or directory at /usr/share/perl5/Dpkg/Arch.pm line 128.
Can't exec "gcc": No such file or directory at /usr/share/perl5/Dpkg/Arch.pm line 128.

Any explanation for this strange behaviour?

Kind regards

       Andreas.
