[Debian-med-packaging] Bug#845982: Please clarify several issues with cwltool

Hi Michael,

I assumed simply adding the now available python-keepalive would easily
fix the bug would be a simple task. However, I stumbled about several
issues which prevented me from conituning here since I have no idea
about the internals.

  1. Patch to not use python-typing.
Why this? Adding the package to Build-Depends would be cheap

  2. Lagging behind upstream.
     Are there any reasons?

  3. I injected latest upstream (1.0.20161207161158) in my local Git
     repository
      * cwltest is now separate - do we want to package it as well?
      * after removing it from set of requriements I was running into

Download error on https://pypi.python.org/simple/schema-salad/: [Errno -3] Temporary failure in name resolution -- Some packages may not be found!
Couldn't retrieve index page for 'schema-salad'
Scanning index of all packages (this may take a while)
Reading https://pypi.python.org/simple/
Download error on https://pypi.python.org/simple/: [Errno -3] Temporary failure in name resolution -- Some packages may not be found!
No local packages or working download links found for schema-salad<2,>=1.21.20161206204028
error: Could not find suitable distribution for Requirement.parse('schema-salad<2,>=1.21.20161206204028')

  4. Continuing with python-schema-salad I noticed that it is lagging
behind as welland it is now >= 2 (2.0.20161122040508)

I do not feel competent to decide what version is fit for Debian 9. If
we do nothing cwltool is out - so IMHO we should urgently upgrade all
needed packages but I have no idea what might be the right procedure.

Michael, could you please take over (and thus join the advent calendar
effort ;-))

      Andreas.
