I admit I do not care about the umbrella if at least the work gets done.
;-)  Usually Debian is accepted in GSoC so if OBF has problems to get
accepted but can help finding a student with a bioinformatics background
this could be of some advantage.

Yes, I perfectly understand and that's very convinient also for the
Debian packaging.

You would be perfectly welcome at our Sprint!  What countries / geo
coordinates would be acceptable for you?  We are planing to have a
Sprint at Sanger ...
