It was building without any problem for me.  I've just added the symbols
file (please be more verbose in your changelogs about things like this
and bumping versioned Build-Depends etc.) and uploaded.  I'm really
hoping that the bunch of packages will pass new queue soon.  Due to the
change in the binary package name all packages need to pass this queue
and thus there is some delay.
