[Debian-med-packaging] Bug#901073: python-biom-format autopkg test failure

Version: 2.1.6+dfsg-1

according to https://ci.debian.net/packages/p/python-biom-format/testing/amd64/ 
the autopkg tests are failing. Please could you fix these to avoid the extra ten 
day delay for the python-defaults migration?

Please also consider making the tests more verbose.  The current log doesn't 
give much information what exactly is failing.
