Short version for ftpmaster: Please have a look at r-cran-vcr which
would help in the r-base-3.5 transition.

Thanks for doing this, but we can not simply fix these bugs.

Needs r-cran-vcr (urgs, I've prepared the package on 26.5. but forgot to
upload :-(  - done now).  I'll ping ftpmaster and ask for fast
processing.
