Source: vtk-dicom
Version: 0.8.7-1~exp1
Severity: important

Dear maintainer,

your new upload of src:vtk-dicom added python3 bindings for vtk-dicom.
Thanks for them!

Unfortunately you added a build-dependency on python3-all-dev, which
pulls in all the supported python3 versions and kind of implies you are
going to build for all of them. But in reality you are building only
for the default one.
This causes unwanted noise during times of transitions, like this, as it
makes your package appear in the transition tracker even when nothing
can be done.

If making the build system build for all python3 versions is hard (as I
suspect it is, as it's not usually straightforward with cmake) please
change the build dependency on "python3-dev", so to pull in only the
stuff related to the default python3 version.

debian-python@ is available for more information in case you have any
doubt.
