[Debian-med-packaging] Bug#911171: epigrass: Please don't depend on python-visual

Source: epigrass
Version: 2.4.7-2
Severity: serious

python-visual is in poor shape in Debian. See the RC bug where
apparently it isn't even usable. It is one of the last 2 packages
depending on the unmaintained libglademm2.4. It was removed from
Ubuntu because it fails to build with the latest boost.

After visiting the website, I found what appears to be the latest
version on pip but it is now named vpython. It looks like the latest
version has dependencies that aren't in Debian.

Anyway, the only package depending on python-visual is epigrass but
when I look at Epigrass/dgraph.py it appears to be an optional
backend. You can use Qt instead.

Please consider removing the python-visual dependency so we can try to
remove python-visual from Debian.

Thanks,
Jeremy Bicha
