You are right but epigrass is built with python2 on Debian but dbfread is only built 
with python3 even if it is documented to work with python2.7.

Does epigrass work with pyhton3?

I tried to find the upstream sources for epigrass but the newest version I could find is 2.4.5 
but version 2.4.7 is in Debian.
