I admit I have no idea what to change in the package to fix the reported
issue.  The bad news is that I'll go for removing the package anyway
since upstream did not responded to the request to port pondus to GTK-3
and Python3:

   https://bitbucket.org/eike/pondus/issues/8/please-port-to-gtk-3-and-python3
