Dear Frédéric,

I've merged
https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/bwa/commit/36c81322c38c2db87e793a33bd2c1f7b7c58a71c
instead, which enable building on all architectures including ppc64el using
the SIMDe library: https://github.com/nemequ/simde

If you can help contribute AltiVec implementations for SSE2, SSE, or MMX
intrinsics to SIMDe then that would be very appreciated!
