Ahhh, all my thinking was concentrated on getting rid of the *reason*
for the warning (thus more debug info) but your idea was rather to get
rid of the warning itself, right?

Well, I've checked that the data result will not be different between
the python-h5py versions and suppressed the warnings by redirecting
stderr[1].

Build to upload this fix is running.
