Hi Nilesh, Andreas,

I have made a merge request for fsm-lite autopkgtest using the framework Andreas recommended.

For the test, I found a public domain sample .FASTA file that was small enough for a script or test. Other examples were very large (>30MB).

fsm-lite generates two output files: *.meta and *.tmp.

The *.meta file reports the input file name and size in bytes. I compare the file size listed in *.meta (text output) with the size of the generated *.tmp file. It is a basic verification that the data generated is of consistent size.

I chose this approach over static text comparisons since this will work for any input .FASTA file instead of searching for hard-coded values such as '1508'. I am open to your feedback and any improvements.
