Package: odin
Version: 2.0.4-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

when testing the package to file an unblock request for odin
2.0.4-2 after fixing the bug #985508, I found out that the
program was not usable right away after installation. I tested
the issue on Bullseye, and it is also affected.

When trying to launch the various programs available within the
odin package, they all crash with failure to locate they shared
objects:

	$ odin
	odin: error while loading shared libraries: libodinseq-2.0.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
	$ odinreco --version
	odinreco: error while loading shared libraries: libodindata-2.0.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Note that programs packaged within "mitools", provided by the
source package "odin", are also affected:

	$ miview
	miview: error while loading shared libraries: libodindata-2.0.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

As a workaround, I can fix the issue by setting the environment
variable LD_LIRARY_PATH to find the missing shared libraries,
but it is the kind of manual operation that we should not impose
to our end users:

	$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/odin/
	$ odin  # a GUI spawns
	$ odinreco --version
	2.0.4

Affected programs from the odin package are gensample, geoedit,
odin, odinreco, pulsar, and swab. From the mitools package,
affected programs are micalc, miconv, and miview.

Kind Regards,
Étienne.
