These errors look like fallout from a new check:

Please try patching doc/examples/Makefile.am to add

  $(top_builddir)/lib/libgnu.la

to both eegdev_acq_LDADD and recinxdf_LDADD.  (libeegdev incorporates
rpl_free and other needed rpl_* functions with hidden visibility, so
purely for its own use.)
