Package: metaphlan2
Version: 3.0.14-1
Severity: wishlist
Dear Maintainer,
Version 2.0 is EOL since 2 years ago, cf.:
https://github.com/biobakery/MetaPhlAn2
(see also https://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/metaphlan2/ that indicates
to look for 3.0)
With 3.0 the official name seems to me MetaPhlAn (without any attached number):
https://github.com/biobakery/MetaPhlAn
with the homepage: http://segatalab.cibio.unitn.it/tools/metaphlan/index.html
(see also https://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/metaphlan)
The current package version is already 3.0.14 and the package description is
citing 2.0 in two places but the following one may become strange by the
time, isn't it?
<cut>
MetaPhlAn 2.0 relies on ~1M unique clade-specific marker genes (the
marker information file can be found at
usr/share/metaphlan2/utils/markers_info.txt.bz2) identified from
~17,000 reference genomes (~13,500 bacterial and archaeal, ~3,500 viral,
and ~110 eukaryotic), allowing
<cut>
In any case, many thanks for its maintenance.
Cheers,
Patrice
