should stick for the moment to Java 8 source/target I think (minimum
today no computers/servers)

and using com.sun is quite a pity those days (removed for a long time),
upstream should really update their code.... 
As it seems is used for doc only, "maybe" some stuff could just be
removed with a patch if a bit too complex to fix.
