Package: unifrac-tools
Version: 1.1.1-1
Severity: serious
User: debian-qa at lists.debian.org
Usertags: piuparts

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from
'testing'.
It installed fine in 'testing', then the upgrade to 'sid' fails
because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a
Breaks+Replaces relation.

See policy 7.6 at
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#overwriting-files-and-replacing-packages-replaces

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Preparing to unpack .../unifrac-tools_1.1.1-3_amd64.deb ...
  Unpacking unifrac-tools (1.1.1-3) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/unifrac-tools_1.1.1-3_amd64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/faithpd', which is also in package libssu-tools 0.10.0-3+b2
dpkg-deb: error: paste subprocess was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   /var/cache/apt/archives/unifrac-tools_1.1.1-3_amd64.deb

The following files are conflicting:

  /usr/bin/faithpd
  /usr/bin/ssu
  /usr/share/man/man1/faithpd.1.gz
  /usr/share/man/man1/ssu.1.gz

cheers,

Andreas
