Thanks for the follow-up, there is a commit[1a,1b] in the
itk-4.y branch which works around the same issues with a
different mean.

Same here, that's why there hasn't been an upload yet.  Given
that itk4 is out of maintenance upstream, maybe sticking to
older compiler level is a lesser evil if it helps keeping
reverse dependencies that have still not migrated to itk5.
gcc-11 is still in bookworm as far as I could witness, but I
believe it ought to be phased out before the release.  I'm
unsure it is a good idea to forcefully pull it.
