as per bug #1082721[1]

   The "khmer" bioinformatics tool is abandoned upstream: https://github.com/dib-lab/khmer/issues/1928
   Since no packages in Debian depend on this "khmer" tool, I propose to remove it. Unless there are objections and a fix.

the package should be removed from Debian.
