and it started on version 2023.12.15a1+dfsg-1 which you uploaded.

I guess the previous patch just did not refresh cleanly in such version and you
assumed whatever was left was ok.

In cases like that (i.e. in doubt, due to patches not applied cleanly) please
do one of the following two things:

a) Drop me a note and I will gladly test from git, before release.

b) Try it yourself: Just put GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nr_cpus=1" in
/etc/default/grub, run update-grub and reboot. It's really not that difficult.

However, that's just for the next time. For this time, I already have a fix ready
which I've tested, and will push and upload right now.
