Package: src:python-awkward
Version: 2.6.1-1
Severity: serious

Dear maintainer:
Your package tries to access Internet during build, which is not allowed.
I discovered this by building the package in 2028, as the SSL certificate
for https://pypi.org is perceived in such case as expired:
[...]
Could not fetch URL https://pypi.org/simple/build/: There was a problem confirming the ssl certificate: HTTPSConnectio
nPool(host='pypi.org', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /simple/build/ (Caused by SSLError(SSLCertVerificatio
nError(1, '[SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed: certificate has expired (_ssl.c:1006)'))) - ski
pping
The package also fails to build in reproducible-builds, for the same reason:
https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/python-awkward.html
Thanks.
