Thanks a lot.  I've force-pushed a sensible history and uploaded.

@Yaroslav / @Michael: I tried to do my best to update cmtk to the latest
upstream version but failed to fix all build errors occuring with
gcc-14[1].  I've created a feature branch debian-packaging-for-3.4.0 for
your comfort.  Attention: It is based on the original packaging.  I did
not yet rebased Sudip's patch!  If you have some spare cycles and think
it makes sense to ship the latest and greatest upstream with the next
release please take action on this package.

PS: @Sudip: I'm also working on v-sim.  Thanks a lot for your
    patch but this package is using cdbs and I want to clean
    this up.
