OK, just left a comment and some printout in DEBUG mode.
I've also droped the NeuroDebian comment.

I did not thought about you in person but in general any DD is kindly
invited to contribute. The package has grown out of the Debian Science
team (even if I left it as maintainer to make pretty clear, that I do
not want a person but a team as maintainer).
