SIMDe to the rescue! I managed to get somewhere with the arm64
port and could also verify that I haven't introduced regressions
to release architectures that were already supported by the
package. :)
I'm running a last local build or two to lookup for remaining
things needing polish and will push my changes to Salsa before
upload.

PS: please let me know if migration to testing is blocked on
architecture missing the package due to freeze policy[1]. I've
not seen anything related to per-architecture migration when
reading the web page, but if freeze happens to be a blocker,
then that means I must implement the rollback any ways.
