Dear Release Team,
I would like to request a transition slot for openslide 4.0.1,
which is available in experimental for a couple of months, but
has not raised any substancial issues so far. Having the
transition started would move forward the resolution of the
security issue CVE-2026-54604, referenced in #1099727.
I have triggered rebuilds of reverse dependencies and noticed a
build failure affecting timg, which is reported as #1146800.
The two other reverse dependencies openslide-python and visp did
not show any problem. Experimental pseudo excuses are looking
good [1].
