Pidgin 3 is currently in pre-alpha, but hopefully it will be ready in
time for Debian 14. More discussion about this is at
https://bugs.debian.org/883214
Pidgin and libpurple 3 is a major API break and everything that uses
it will need changes.
I'm filing this bug as RC to get it out of Testing to make it easier
to land the new Pidgin later this year. This is also a warning that
purple-xmpp-http-upload is unlikely to be included in Debian 14 unless
someone ports it to work with the new version of pidgin.
purple-xmpp-http-upload was recently archived upstream:

Thank you,
Jeremy Bícha
