Dear Maintainer,
I did a apt install jupyter jupyterlab in a clean debian:testing image and, upon
trying to start jupyter lab, I get

Fail to get yarn configuration. Expecting value: line 1 column 1 (char 0)

in the first line of the output, and further repeated later on as

[E 2025-02-16 18:44:49.021 LabApp] Fail to get yarn configuration. Expecting value: line 1 column 1 (char 0)

I could find an error with a similar wording at #1078077, but it's not clear to
me whether it is the same issue or not.
