Maybe I could do a backport, but since bookworm is the current stable 
I'm not sure it's relevant. Are there many people on oldstable?

I uploaded a new upstream version (2.2.1-1), it does seem to fix the 
problem on bookworm.

I uploaded a new upstream version (1.14.1+ds1-1) that fixes this 
problem, with an autopkgtest to ensure it does.
