[Debian-rtc-admin] Bug#805034: review Prosody data storage strategy

Prosody data (roster/buddy-list) is currently stored in files under
/var/lib/prosody

DSA would potentially support a PostgreSQL database

Prosody has a module for PostgreSQL storage:

What benefits would we gain from this?  Is it more resilient, faster or
easier to support clustering?  It may be useful for reporting too (e.g.
reporting on the number of active users, average number of roster entries)

What are the risks and maintenance overheads, if any?

What is the strategy for migrating the data?  It looks like there is a tool:
