[Debian-salsa-ci] Need information regarding job in salsa pipeline jobs

Hello Team,

I am trying to integrate and implement the salsa ci to build a deb package
for armhf architecture.
I have overridden the required jobs according to my needs.

It would be helpful if you can please help me to understand one thing.

What is the purpose of the *build source* job in
https://salsa.debian.org/salsa-ci-team/pipeline/-/blob/master/pipeline-jobs.yml#L25
