Hi Bryan,

to learn how Debian uses Gitlab, you should best talk with two teams:

1) The team that runs Salsa and the public runners, our Gitlab instance and
2) the Salsa-CI team that provide a quite sophisticated framework for -
drumroll - CI on that Salsa instance and its runners

Alexander Wirt and Jörg Jaspert are the people behind the salsa-admin
email I added to CC. They are both delegated by the Debian Project
Leader to be responsible for our Gitlab instance.

The Salsa-CI team has their mailing list at
debian-salsa-ci at alioth-lists.debian.net. They are a larger group of
people, so I'm not sure who will reply if you inquire on their mailing
list but somebody likely will :).

If you have any other questions, or get lost in the Debian maze
somewhere, please feel free to reach out to Jonathan and/or myself any time.

If you want to talk to us in person, consider joining us at DebConf23 in
India in September 2023. You have received a call for sponsors on that
in January and likely will get another ping soon as the team are mailing
follow-ups currently.

Kind regards,
Daniel

I've been connecting with several members of the GitLab Open Source Partners community to learn more about the ways partners are using GitLab to develop Linux distributions in particular. I'm especially interested in learning how large-scale project like Debian make extensive use of GitLab's full platform of tools.[^1] Of course, you were all at the top of my list to contact. I'm wondering if perhaps you'd have a few minutes for a chat. I doubt this would require more than 30 minutes of your time.
