I spoke too soon.  I'm having trouble getting YACS to build, will see if
I can iron it out but can't promise anything just yet...

This is a *huge* savings: at the end of compiling a bunch of modules
(but in the middle of YACS), it's only using 1.4 GiB.  But that will
increase during the binary target.
