I didn't know petsc4py was broken...  Are you sure that this is the
problem?  I've been building petsc for quite a while with these options,
and the petsc4py maintainer has not complained.  I'm copying him on this
message.

Thanks, the fix is simple, and I think 'important' is an appropriate
severity, so I'll see if I can get to it this week.
