Hi Michael
    I have made a new version of Qtiplot where liborigin2 should be enabled.
If you want to test you can download it from my private server:
deb http://213.64.124.152/debian/ i386/
deb-src http://213.64.124.152/debian/ source/

There are a few minor things to fix before upload. 

Do you have some origin file you can send me so I can test the import myself?
