Hi there!

Could you provide a hdfview.desktop file, so one can easily access hdfview with kde or gnome?

Something like

[Desktop Entry]
Exec=/usr/bin/hdfview
MimeType=all/hdf file
Name=hdfview
Terminal=false
Type=Application

and probably the HDF Logo as icon...
