Yes, they are.  The problem is that I was trying to take over any
changes from /etc/cdd to spare users the effect of the name change from
CDD to Debian Pure Blends.  I just learned that this is just asking for
trouble and I dropped the intend to take over changes which are in

are in practice very rare.  So I decided to inform users in NEWS.Debian
to manually take over any changes and stop trying to take over the
changes which was the reason for editing config files in postinsts.

Feel free to ignore both bugs which are in fact related and will be
fixed soon.  (Sorry for not giving any record of this in the bug log -
I was not aware that somebody will spend some time on it.)
