Ah, right, I didn't use pbuilder, so I likely had all of the
Build-Depends-Indep packages installed already.

I'm surprised that any of those are needed for binary-arch.  Without
them, configure should just report that they're not there.  But they
shouldn't ever be invoked except in a binary or binary-indep invocation.
I'll give it another try without them, and whatever Build-Depends are
needed, then upload if appropriate.
