So I forgot to mention that special characters like greek letters are also
garbled and show the full word (I get Omega instead of its correspondent
capital greek symbol).

I did some tests on a lenny desktop (running wxmaxima 0.8.2 from backports)
and output was perfect, greek letters and square roots were correctly
printed, both to a file and to actual paper (it was even fit to paper
width).

This bug is quite annoying as I often need to print my wxmaxima document
with outputs to attach to other work.

I'm attaching the files in question (I've never sent bug reports with
attachments, so I don't know if this will fail).
