If they are deprecated and unused, then I think they should really be
dropped from the orig tar archive (by repacking it).
Seeing GPL-licensed files which are in fact unused is really confusing,
IMHO.

That's OK, as long as there's no linking between those and the rest.

OK.

Wait, what about the linking with libcos4-1/libomniorb4-1 and with
libqscintilla2-5 (see the original bug report)?
Linking with GPL-licensed libraries makes the final result effectively
under the GPL.
